About me

Hi, I’m Lauren the founder of Hypawactive Dogs, I am an experienced and professional trainer, who is passionate about making dog training accessible for everyone. I follow the LIMA way of training (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive) to help you to build a positive relationship with your dog and achieve your training goals. 

I am canine first aid trained. I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Pet Behaviour and Welfare and have experience training a variety of different dog breeds. I work part-time as a trainer at an assistance dog charity helping clients with mental health disabilities, autism and anxiety to train their dogs to public access standard. Being autistic myself has helped me to understand what these clients need so am able to adapt my teaching methods so all clients can achieve their goals. I have also worked with reactive dogs helping owners understand and work through their dogs reactivity. 

I share my life with three dogs; a Korthals Griffon, a Shih-Poo, and a Chihuahua cross Shih-Tzu, so I have a good understanding of both high-drive dogs and adapting training plans to suit dogs of different sizes and needs.
